The pane

Open thesaurus history (command palette or the ribbon icon) opens a pane on the right: every command call, newest first, grouped by day, with the time, how many suggestions were found, the note it was typed in, and — once you inserted something — what you picked.

• Click an entry to run the lookup again, right under that entry. Click a suggestion there to insert it at the cursor of the active note. Click the entry again, or ×, to close it.
• Filter box: narrows the list as you type; Enter looks up whatever you typed, at the top of the pane.
• This story: shows only the calls made in the notes of the active note's story (see The story). Disabled when the active note is not in one.
• Hover an entry for the trash icon to remove it; the trash icon in the header clears everything.

Re-running a lookup from the pane is not a new call and is not recorded. Looking the same word up again straight after the first time refreshes the entry instead of repeating it.

Where did that word come from?

In a note, hover a word you inserted from the box. A box shows the term you looked up, when, and Also in this note (n): every other place that word appears, with line numbers and snippets. Click one to jump. Words you never picked show nothing.

In the pane, hover an entry: original → picked, the note it was typed in, then "picked" appears 3 times in 2 notes in Novel — the notes of the story, the source note first, then by count, each with its lines. Click a line to open the note there.

The story is what limits the search — not the vault. Search in → The whole vault widens it.
